And it just does the "Save As" thing, too.

The problem with a lot of those sites is that I do have limits on how big the upload can be. Some of the things I upload are HUGE.



And I mean where they can click it right on my site and not get redirected to the website to download :(

It is good marketing for the site if there are people on webcam being interesting; funny, entertaining - heck, even my cooking "show" might be something that compels a random person join the site.



But when people simply go into the cams and are bombarded with insults, aggression, drama and downright unwelcoming behavior. I'm not saying everyone has to be Cancer's marketing team to draw people to the site, but if you enjoy VR and want to see it improve, perhaps not scaring away his future clients would be a good start.

I'd like to see people who act like that have their web cam permanently banned no matter what account they use.



It's beyond a problem.

This shit is causing inter-site issues already, now it's causing issues outside of it.



If they did it to him checking out the site, what is to say they didn't do it to someone else?

It has been done to other people. I've had some anon's come into my cam and make a remark about muting them because they're an anon. Then when I am nice to them they are taken back because of the shit treatment they've already gotten.



Hell, it's even happened to Cancer.

I've touched on this subject as well. But, they never listen. The screaming, ranting and raving at anons really gives off a bad impression of the site. They don't seem to get the picture that not all anons are actually members, that the bullshit they sling is actually having a negative impact on the site. Really, I face it a lot, because I do go in cams as an anon quite often to check up on things. And I'm always constantly told off or it's implied that I'm masturbating to the person. And what's worse is that the behavior is egged on by all involved in the cam at the time. And god forbid you try to be a voice of reason..



I am so sorry for ranting in you journal, but I feel really strongly about this subject. It's disgusting the way some people actually behave towards anons. It really, really is. And, I'm sorry your boyfriend had to see the bad side of VR.

That sucks. Have him watch Moonies cam, she'll make him join. ;)

It's a pity some people are giving a bad reputation to the site. And btw, wasn't there an option to turn off anon?

Yes there is. But if you turn it off...where would the drama come from then? You tell them that and they just let the shit keep going. Why even try to help members who are not using the tools given to them to stop it, or who just want to shake that shit bag a little more to stir up the crap.



Shame the webcams are being treated as a tool to turn people from the site, and I am with Moonie. If you do nothing but start drama in your cams- your ass should be given a time out.



My 2 cents.

A few weeks ago I was on cam and wasn't on for long, I'd say probably about 20 minutes total, and two Anonymous users came in and actually talked to me. One of them, was considering joining VR and had told me they were in a different cam not too long before coming into mine and a member actually told them to go kill themselves for not signing into their user name and for spying on them.



What made me angry about that is that the person who told them that had on their cam topic "no drama- start drama and you get muted". What is interesting is the fact that the ones who claim they want no drama are the first to start it up. Now, if I wasn't a member and I walked into a cam that stated it was drama free I would assume I would be welcomed. But if the moment I went in there and was targeted like that for no reason, I would have never returned to the site.



I can only imagine the amount of potential members that have decided against VR simply from the problems that have arisen in the webcams they visited. I have to agree with Moonie- if it's a common occurrence with the webcams, I think a person should be banned from the cam feature on all of their accounts if they pursue that every single time they are on cam.

Someone drew all the artwork on the site. This lady's looks almost like anime. I think of Betty Boop when I look at it but it makes no difference, it still is her art. Possibly one could write to her and ask to put it on the profile. A link back to her site might be good. It would advertise her work. Here with the database, they put articles in without the permission of the authors all the time. Same thing. She probably got it out of photobucket. I had never heard of this artist until I read the name here and they probably haven't either. I personally don't like it.

The difference is you have to pay to use her artwork. You can legally use this artists artwork if you pay for it and use it properly.



She isn't using it properly and I'm pretty sure she didn't pay for it.



Linking to the website would be wrong. It would have to be done according to the Terms of Service for the license company.



I'll be letting someone know later. She also has the work of Rion Vernon on her main page which is an artist with the same company as the other one I mentioned.



If needed, I can contact CDO and let them know there is an improper use of images. I am a valid license holder there.

I stand behind you on telling the artist. If it was your art, I know you would want to know if it was being improperly used. I know I would hate for someone to misuse my artwork.

Maybe the person doesn't know their misusing the image... I would send them a message and a link to the artist's site and if they come off as a smart ass or rude, I would nail them on the hands for copyright infringement.
